Despite the gibs nature of trick-or-treating, Halloween is mainly a white holiday. The whole thing depends on a high-trust society, with kids walking around alone at night getting candy from strangers. Plus african tradition simplistically considers it all evil and unchristian.

All holidays are mainly White peoples holidays. The negros traditions are shamanistic and moon/sun dictated. With that beetle nut and mushroom drinks. The shaman does dances to fortune tell. Then they perform mating dance rituals. Holiday was a foreign thing for the negro.

During the no-contact times I left a big ass box of candy out with a sign that said something take a few handfuls.

The doorbell picked up the kids doing their thing. One (black) kid said out loud to everyone else. Something along the lines of when we dun, I'm coke back and take all of it.

I honestly didn't care it was cheap and I left it out late just so they could if they wanted. They either got too lazy or some adults actually made them behave.
