Sadly. This level of processor tech, is a long way from available to the consumer.

Sure, I get it, I used to do hardware for a living, and built and compared all sorts of supermicro vs dell vs hp (compaq when that was a thing). Its nice to see this stuff in action and know whats available.

AMD releasing a server processor though, isnt a thing, until they correct the intel lockin that most manufacturers still implement.

The reality is the server maker, will offer 1 or 2 AMD solutions, which they don't price as competitively (the price on the website is a price point, if your a nobody, not buying servers in bulk or with the prospective to order many more, you pay that shit, discounts go as deep as 68% that I have personally seen), as the 12 intel offerings they have. It used to be worse, you couldnt buy many blades with AMD processors at the start of the blade cycle, let alone the wait time if you did order one.

I hope AMD has taken serious action to correct that side of the house. If not, this will end up as another super low quantity product that could have been.
