Employees are using artificial intelligence (AI) at work at a higher rate than employers realize, McKinsey finds. McKinsey & Company senior partner and McKinsey Alliances global head Lareina Yee joins Wealth with Brad Smith to discuss how workers are approaching AI and who's driving AI adoption in the workforce. Yee highlights a surprising finding in McKinsey's survey. She explains, "Of all the generations, millennials are most forward-thinking in AI ... kind of bucks the idea that your youngest members of your employee group are the most excited, [as] we see that millennials are stepping forward." She adds, "Whether [employees] are super excited about [AI] or very skeptical, they are investing in their own education — in their own ability to use AI." Yee elaborates, explaining that employees know AI adoption is happening and are hoping their employers will invest in their up-skilling so that they can integrate the tech into their workflow.
