That is all fine and good and all. As long as you have police and a DA that is actually willing to put these criminals in jail or to at least punish them in some meaningful way rather than just letting them out in 4 hours. Otherwise, you are just spending a ton of $$$ on technology that tells you how much you are getting fucked without any recourse.

Everytime I get swarmed by 3 associates asking if I need help. I ask them what's the point of self check out if they are just going to stand there and watch me. Blank stare... "ok then leave me alone and let me do your job."

I wish I didn't have to use the fucking self checkout at Home Despot. 5 out of the 6 regular registers are closed, there is one open and it has a long line up, so I go over to the self checkout to scan my couple of items and get back to doing the work I need to do.
