OpenAI did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment. Rapid adoption of generative artificial intelligence technology has led to sky-rocketing demand for AI data centers capable of handling more advanced tasks than traditional data centers."

For that amount of money, they'd be better off spending a couple of billion to build a place that can actually make all of the components that they need and save over 90 billion. Then make more and sell them and recoup their money.
