Why does AI always jack up the fingers and teeth?

Because they are not smart. They are fast. An AI will run through dozens, possibly hundreds of iteration of the image until it gets something that it regards as 'good enough'.

Humans have whole sections of their brains that are hardwired to recognize other humans; the AIs can only simulate that with software.
