Well, It has been suggested to drastically improve my prints and possibly especially with flexible filaments (Thanks ) I should have a proper filament dryer.

So, like I always do, I looked for something I could integrate with my homeAssistant (shameless plug for ) for reasons that even I don't know (Yes, I want to track the time on/off/humidity/power usage/etc... For reasons unknown to me).

This led me to this project and it looks fun. Parts are on the way and when some of "life" gets a little more calm again this will be one of my posted projects. I am sure it's not going to be "plug and play" and may need a bunch of tinkering but that's what I do so oh well.

Ill try some of 's suggestions for soldering this time around and see if I get roasted a little less ;)

>If you’ve ever owned a SOVOL SH01 Filament Dryer, you know how useful it can be for keeping your filament in optimal condition. However, I wanted to take things further by integrating mine to Home Assistant for wirelessly monitoring and control.

lol, I just bought my first real filament dryer. I am not hooking it to anything but the electrical outlet. Up till now I have been using my heat bed with a pizza oven looking thing that I can dry two spools at once and also a round food dehydrator that I can load spools into. It's been working so far but I have always wanted to get a real dryer with better heat control and this one does 4 rolls at a time.

Hey man, if this thing works out well enough and you want a "connected one" I can build a modified one and send it to you.

I don't have any home assist or esp32 stuff to connect it to. Or I would for sure!!

I think my ears were plugged but all I heard was "yet".
