I wanted a clip for our cat's wet food so it would stay fresh longer after opening since he doesn't eat a whole pack every time we feed him. I went to order something but then realized "I have a 3d printer" so.. here we are. It works well.

I think I am going to change the time for my time-lapse though. It goes by a little too fast.

Yeah, to me data like that is not replicable so I would want it anywhere I could put it with documentation on how to get to it if I am not around anymore.

Some things can be lost to time just because you forgot where you put it. Who knows when a great, great, great grandchild might want to see what you looked like or where you lived and know a bit more about you?

Assuming you have kids, I don't but want them.

I don't have any kids (that I know of lol!) I'm the end of the line, I was too focused on my career and not enough on the ltr's I've had. Kicking myself now. I could have been married to a real sweetheart 40 years ago. And another about 32 years ago. And a couple of others as potential runners up. Pretty tough finding someone I''d be crazy over now.

It is what it is. These pictures are mostly for my own enjoyment, I share the pictures with cousins from my mom's side when they or their ancestors/relatives are in the picture. I don't think anyone is interested in my Dad's side except me.

It might be hard as fuck to find someone willing but men can have kids even into their 70's. Just putting that out there.

It's been suggested before but I can't count on living long enough to see my kid through high school, let alone be there to make sure they had a good launch in life. The mother would have to be a bit nuts to marry a man ~30 years her senior, can't say I'd feel comfortable leaving my child raising to her (unless I really knew her well, build trust and that takes more time).

Also the poor kid would have a grand dad for a father while all of his/her friends Dads would be 30-40 years younger. There would be no relatives left on my side (except my cousins and their kids), so no aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents.

I think having kids now would be selfish of me and not in the best interest of the child. Of course the right woman could make all the difference, but it would be a miracle to find that woman.
