I wanted a clip for our cat's wet food so it would stay fresh longer after opening since he doesn't eat a whole pack every time we feed him. I went to order something but then realized "I have a 3d printer" so.. here we are. It works well.

I think I am going to change the time for my time-lapse though. It goes by a little too fast.

yeah, I get that. Plenty of us are nerds here. I would suggest a lot of changes to your data backup plans though.

If you ever want to talk about it or want suggestions on a PC/Laptop let me know.

You feel 2 thumb drive backups are inadequate?

3-2-1 strat and at least 1 (ideally two) should be offsite and with multiple copies.

Bit-rot is real and can really screw you. I have been looking at a few cloud options but using something that pre-encrypts everything before transit as my "oh shit" option where everything else is not recoverable.

A huge fire a few years back would have taken out everything if it was at my house and in a safe deposit box with no way to recover it. I hate the cloud idea but other than buying/renting a rack of my own in a datacenter and managing it, its the next best solution (Can't rely on friends/family to maintain a system in their homes even if they are technical).

Bit rot. That would suck.

I figured with a copy on the hard drives (both laptop and desktop) and 2 thumb drives (one in my safe deposit box at my bank) I'd be in pretty good shape.

The thumb drives were new, very little usage erasing/rewriting. I figured they would hold the data best.

Definitely time for a new desktop. Does anyone burn DVDs anymore?

You see how antiquated I have become? Lol!
