Thanks for the link. Stay strong and resist the urge. :) In the video, I suspect he has some tuning/resonance issues which might kill efficiency/output. Certainly doesn't sound like US. The Sonotrodes for the Branson ultrasonic welder at work need to be pretty precisely tuned to around 19 kHz so they have their maximum ?displacement? at the surface where they transfer the sonic energy into the plastic part to be welded. It's a whole science and we don't use the thing much anymore. Please forgive me for being vague and imprecise like the badly trained operator that I am. But man, those squeals from an insufficient surface contact... Like banshees from beyond hell. I should record those before we throw the thing out.
