"Some".

I mostly use hatchbox but part of that is it was what I bought a long time ago and got used to it. Any particular reason for your brand choice?

Oh, also, one of these comes in handy to keep things dry. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C2XZ7T31/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8

Extra bags: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09GFJFPM9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8

You should also probably buy some extra silica packs to toss into the bags before you seal and vac them. That's what I do anyway and I don't live in a very humid climate. I just have to run a humidifier in the house this time of the year.

Whoa, I looked at hatchbox. They are pretty proud of their shit. 26 bucks for plain white PLA. The Bambu labs is 20 bucks for a refill. (I print my own spools and buy refills mostly.) 23 bucks for it on a reusable spool but they have bulk discounts so if you buy 4 rolls it's 15 bucks and if you use a lot and buy 8 it's only 13. That's pretty good. I'm not ordering that kind of quantity but it's a much better price.

I don't know what hatchbox is but I will look it up. I use this brand because it comes on reusable spools so I can just buy reloads when I need it and also it is RFID chipped so I just put it in there and it auto loads and the machine knows exactly what it is, material and color wise. Streamlines the process. I never have to configure anything.

I got into the whole keeping the filament dry routine right off the bat since I am going to be moving to TX where it is very humid. The AMS unit has Desiccant pods internally and I also made more that fit into the empty spaces in the unit. I also print out spool cores that hold more desiccant and the AMS unit is nearly airtight so the humidity level stays very low in there. I have hygrometers inside and outside the AMS unit to monitor the humidity level. Outside the unit right now is 41% and inside is 20%.

When I am storing the spools I use the vacuum bags you're talking about and I have the spool cores full of desiccant in them.

Nice, sounds like you have it all sorted already then =) Should start some monthly posts of "Shit you should already know but might not". Maybe ill try to do that too.

The bambu ams does the rfid to assign profiles for the various filament, then tracks the amounts used to tell you costs and so forth.

Print a Cheesenigger.

Nice. I got a similar package a couple weeks ago. 8 boxes. 2 petg, 2 abs, 2 pla, 1 abs support, 1 pva.

I haven't figured out how to use the support stuff yet. I have printed stuff with support but it just uses the same filament to do it. I think maybe that is for multi head printers? Otherwise the spool would have to change every single layer? I don't get it. I'm still new. lol

In BambuSlicer? select the filament under the support settings, change the options from the word default there. https://pic8.co/sh/U3euyW.png This was just a pick an item and show settings pic i have not inspected these settings but would use the support for both spots most of the time...

Note that I wouldn't recommend doing it normally... its a waste of filament and print time.

Take something small that needs support, and throw a different color pla at the supports. You'll instantly get how it works, wont even have to print the thing.

Is it that it just switches to the support material only on the layer that makes contact with the model? Then changes back?

Have you looked into the pet bottle recycling to make your own filament?

I bought my printer last week so hope to get it soon to post some stuff

I have not looked into that, I'll check it out. What kind of printer did you get?

Anycubic neo 2 (fdm). Brother in law got the resin version and recommended it. I just need a newbie model just to tinker with and print some terrain pieces
