Dude, you really REALLY need to consider getting a P1S. It will change your world on 3D Printing. Spring for the AMS unit too. You're not loosing, you will immediately be winning!!!!
Short version, New filament is "squishy" and it's fucking up my print. Might have to use some of my older stuff even if things are miss-matched.
Since I suggested the "share your shit" and it seems to be somewhat popular, I will start.
I have had to modify the ever living hell out of this thing to make it so it wont burn the house down and my hot-end actually works well and is not hitting the overheat limit in the firmware and killing my prints. Ill make a longer post about that on another day, and it will be LONG, but for now, this is about the enclosure that I am working on. I have to reprint a leg bracket because I don't have the "last section" done and broke one of the "brackets".
The project/print/files: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4144464 I am using Lack tables from Ikea (IT nerds also know these are great for making a cheap as fuck rack mount setup called the "lack rack").
Ikea: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/lack-side-table-white-30514791/ It looks like Ikea may have re-designed it so I don't know if that table is the right one anymore but I ordered these a LONG time ago. I assume they do still have something similar enough that would also work.
One thing I found was that the in-fill listed in the project is just not enough. I'm using a HatchBox White PLA. Maybe ABS would be better? Not sure.
I have been running into issues with bed adhesion with the new Hatchbox White PLA that I have and after looking at the temp ratings and spec's it looks like they did change the formula since I bought my old batch that I just ran out of so now I am trying to figure out the right settings so I can get a new bracket printed and I can hopefully finish this project finally.
I will make a post about that and maybe with a video I took tonight to show the issue after only about 20 minutes of the print going on. (This is a 5-8 hour print, seeing problems that early means you are fucked).
Something to remember is that the Maker Select V2 (sold by monoprice.com as a rebrand of a Prusa i3 MK3) is old as fuck-all and I probably should just upgrade to something new. However, I am a stubborn fucker and I don't like losing.
I don't have any pic's I can share at the moment since it would probably dox me but ill share some in the future that have not been posted anywhere else and would not have the same problem.
Thanks for reading my wall of stupidity, good luck with your prints.
