I spent a few of my best summers barefoot, and the only real bad part about it was the occasional gravel road I had to walk over. Grass and woods and swamp were all fine.

Not a faggot, but I don't wear shoes unless I have to, you know, go out in public, or doing work that's hazardous to do while barefoot. I run in zero drop heel shoes, and my feet are healthier than anyone I know. No shit, but one of my reasons for doing so is so that if I'm ever placed in a re-education camp, I won't be dependent on shoes when I make my escape.
