mostly IMO they are just satisfied with getting by after generations of living where food was close and weather was temperate to tropical. no need for necessity to be a mother of invention as say, surviving and ice age near the edges of glaciers. so no need for collaboration for survival out of empathy; therefore no empathy capacity for the most part. DNA has memory and the behaviorists know it. they started working their way out of it after wwII with their own economy but then the war on poverty. mostly careless and feckless still. and so fucking GULLIBLE.
