I think it's time for me to share this. I'm looking to create a federation of sites that link to each other and I've been working on a tool to do it.

Before anyone starts pinging PMYB2 pressuring him to do this, he's already aware of the project.

But if anyone has any alt-tech sites they want to be part of this, it is ready to run.

I think it's a good idea for us to be integrated rather than purely competitive.

I've decided to pass up "content" sites at the moment. I might run another one that focuses on content creators but to keep things similar it has to be a more user oriented site.

So... I have databases of so much info that I would have to share physically, but if you want something that far surpasses Google it's really easy to do.

I basically turn everything into an rss feed and have it feed into multiple databases, where everything is screenshotted, archived and text saved. The primitive version posted to my site... which is still up, where you can see how it autocollects data. I'm working on improvements, but I've been slowed by real life.

When I, personally, search for someone's name, I get a truly unbiased search result from millions of news articles. Let's chat about it when next we are on Mumble.
