Nothing will stop these ponzi schemes now. Somebody just has to put the call out for everybody to buy a particular stock and the stock value will inflate. I can't see there being any possible way to stop this.

They own the Market Maker, the server that sets the price from a bid and ask, they set the price between the buyer and seller. That gives you the stock price.

Since they own the servers for the exchanges, they can set the price and/or direction to their desire.
