They didn't have internal memory or hard drives did they? I know the Vic20 didn't, had an external audio tape drive though.

It was nicknamed the Vic40 if that helps

Revolutionary for their time.

Back when tech was the wild west.

Kinda miss those days.

the Commodore 64 was my first gaming console. One day I flipped the disk drive upside down and backwards and it was a Commodore 69.

i wish i had my iMac from 1999. powerpc 800mhz, 2 gB of ram i beleive, 80gBHD. ran Debian. works really well, regularly well even.

Install Lynx on a Linux box, it's a text-mode web browser that runs in a terminal. Get a WIFI or ethernet card for your C64, they're both available, plug into the user port.

Use telnet from the C64 terminal to log into the Linux box and run Lynx. Go to voat.xyz. Shit works.

Can't seem to open Poal.co with it, though. At least it is possible to browse Voat on your C64. Just did it the other day from my Tandy 1000 TL.
