I have been playing with decompiling android app's in a sandbox using "vibe coding/dev". It is shocking how good it can be.

I'm not saying it doesn't have it's uses...but if you're releasing a product you'd better make sure it has no entry points - even for you.

Someone will find them.

We are at the point of "Something will find them".

Someone with a moderate understanding can now rip an app apart and fully rebrand-recompile and re-create the backend system with little effort so long as you know exactly what the goal is and can articulate it (and either have local models or are willing to pay for pricy models).

It's a brave new world.

It was kind of more fun when you opened a device to see they'd abraded all the chips and you had to start by figuring out what the chips were first.
