I swapped the battery on my last tablet. It was tricky, but I got it done. I figured I might as well give it a try since I was planning on buying a new one and if I killed it during the process it would be no big deal.

They're often glued in. If so, and it doesn't have a glue pad you can remove, a little (not too much) heat is your friend. Maybe you'll find your model on IFixIt's site.
