Cyrix 6x86? That's debatable. Cyrix's problem was getting access to the OEMs, something Intel shut other players out of.

I was a BIT too young to fiddle with Cyrix when it was huge, but I remember every rig I saw with it had...issues. I remember one of the Cryix was actually killed off and ended the brand due to lack of support for Quake

All those 9 series are massively over hyped. Not a huge performance gain over the 7s, and the 5s still on AM4 are far more compelling from a cost standpoint
