Right, as if having RAM cost a million fucking dollars is enough.. May as well make storage unaffordable too. Forget the claim that this is "AI" eating the world. Consumer protection is needed to make sure "personal computing" can't be killed... Even though that is exactly what they have been trying to do for decades.

Yep, per my post a few weeks ago about "bit-rot" on un-powered SSD's. If they are not powered, they are slowly losing data. Not quite the same as spinning rust.
