Truth. Luckily, large cooling solutions like the Phantom Assassin are very affordable now. I don't personally trust liquid at all and will never use it in a rig I build or maintain

I got one I had to send back because the thing was too big to fit in the case. I got a bequiet 600 and it was touching the side panel. I got the 5700g and all it needs is the stock air cooler but yeah. If I am investing serious money into a high end proc I will get liquid cooled.

The stock ryzen coolers are loud as hell. I used one for a bit while waiting for an aftermarket cooler. Couldn't stand the noise.

Probably different thermal load. I think I had that on a 3900x and it would scream when I booted a game.

The 5600g is lower power AND more efficient so the stock cooler is probably fine for it.

I have one of those liquid AIO's Its worked well but I think I want to get a bigger one. It feels like its just not quite good enough. Either way, I would just drop it into my storage server since it would do well for the Ryzen 7. Maybe not so much for my Ryzen 9.

5700g never struck me as needing THAT kind of cooling. Even my 5800x which is notorious for running hot wouldn't need that

It was an el cheapo from noctua I sent back. So I went with the cooler that came with CPU and have had no issues. I was just surprised the noctua was the size of a brick.

MFW I just build with psycho big noctua cpu coolers in a case running another 6 fans b/c the white noise helps me concentrate. Prob something wrong w/ me.

I did the same thing with my build. Just Phantom Assassin cooler, 6 case fans all wired directly to the PSU. Wastes power, but my board only has two PC fan ports, and I like the white noise too
