Assuming the fucking thing doesn't leak or outright melt down, I'm genuinely curious to know what the bug people are gonna do with the spent fuel. They can't just dump it into the ocean or rivers like they do everything else. Or maybe they will. Who the fuck knows.

They're starting up again. A lot of decommissioned coal and oil plants are taking the existing footprint and dropping other shit there. Batteries, solar panels, natural gas, and lately, SMR reactors. In Pueblo, they're trying to drop a molten salt reactor into the coal plant footprint. We'll see if they're successful
