I worked at a library and our 'network' was just a pile of switches in top of a filing cabinet. The real problem was that it was under a bathroom for the ghetto welfare people...they used to shove toilet paper in the urinals for some reason. So after the first time I was running around flinging plastic over the switches and PCs in the reference area, I duct taped an umbrella over them. I only had to worry about tarping the PCs after that.
God that job was something else. I had a dude who used to talk to the walls and photocopy sliced fruit.
