Brother generally made some good stuff. That was the last one I had, got rid of it because the transfer drum cost more than the printer did.
And that is what I heard about Brother. I didn't know much about which brand to get. I'll admit asking around on Reddit and most people had good things to say about Brother, so that is what I went with.
Also: You can find cost-effective third party drums and toners for brother printers.

Yep that is what I got. Found one on sale for a good deal. Can't remember exact price like 60 to 80 bucks I think.
I've had this printer for probably 5 years at least and I'm still using the drum it came with. I hardly ever print anything, but I'm still surprised it has lasted this long.
Mine lasted 10 years or so, I think it just failed due to age. I can't complain for a $99 printer.
