So, how much more automated is it compared to the ones in Asia?

Probably about the same I'd guess. The Asian fab plants automate everything that can or needs to be automated.

Then I guess Intel fears the evil morons will open another front.

Someone is building it for them, at which point Intel will use them if demand requires it. See https://archive.ph/WniTC

Intel is eventually going to have to drop their fabs to stay competitive, and do an AMD.

Apparently the sustainable goals do NOT address ‘water preservation’. One chip making factory uses upwards of 4-10 million gallons of water PER DAY.

Damn, Intel needs to move to East Palestine where the land will be pennies on the dollar and they don't need to worry about contaminating the water.

Hopefully this will compete with tsmc and all our technology over in Taiwan for after China takes it over. We gonna need something. Keep that shit in America

The US would sooner see TSMC fabs destroyed than fall into Chinese hands should Xi Jinping invade Taiwan, according to a former national security advisor to the Trump administration.

Fuck how did I miss this. I work in the field. Probably why China hasn’t invaded yet.

As a matter of national security any good US administration would destroy the fab if it came to it.

Should have kept that shit here anyway, but Clinton gave it all away.
