Most of these sponsored VPN services on jootube are now owned by KAPE (Israeli intel)

Mullvad is one of the few that aren't and won't ask for a single private information from you (you can use different cryptocurrencies)

This is true, the biggest thing to avoid is free vpns tho. They have to pay their bills somehow and there's no such thing as a free lunch. I'm prob being spied on by my vpn provider but while they may be hoarding my info for intelligence purposes they claim they aren't openly selling it. Yeah i know that's not worth much. But w/o a vpn I know for a fact every major ISP in north america sells your data for profit and a vpn cuts them off milking that secondary revenue off of you. You shouldn't have to pay the ISPs twice for the same service imho. So fucking them over even a little is worth a couple bucks a month.

Fine to warn about KAPE but the first rule of mulvad is don't talk about mulvad.

This guy's blanket statement that all VPNs are a scam is a bigger scam than the VPNs. For example, If you DON'T use a VPN when torrenting, you WILL be vulnerable to US Federal legal prosecution (I received a DMCA violation notice from the FBI once while my VPN was knocked offline.)

This guy - in the video - is a smooth-brainlet shill. There are many perfectly acceptable VPNs. Just know what to look for, that's on you, not the VPN.

e; https://archive.md/IqmIa If your VPN's parent company is in any country in the #eyes (it constantly grows) group then it's not safe.

This guy is painful to watch.

What I don't understand is the failure for the onion network to solve this for everyone. I get that it was slow when there were only a few acting as access points, but with more adoption it feels like this would become moot, resulting in a free, private solution for everyone.

It does solve it for most people. They're just too stupid to figure out how to use it or even bother to learn it exists.

VPNs make it so easy a child can use it.... For a price.

Ultimately most people seem to use them to change countries for services locked or restricted in certain areas, get around firewalls.... Basically the low level annoying shit.

The problem with the onion network is that you cannot assume total anonymity anymore because the five eyes have now learned how to unmask any user on it.... Basically they monitor ever exit node in the network. Something that used to be impossible but is now trivial with their technology.
