when cellphones needed a motorcycle battery and put out 5w and had a 3 ft antenna was when cell phones could cause interference at 1 meter from the equipment. those days are long gone. then there was still an issue of hitting too many towers while up that high. FAA and FCC didnt want to take responsibility saying the problem is gone. the problem was mostly gone once analog phones were put out of service.
