I use linux since 15 years now, it's not by choice if I have to rely on windows sometimes, the fact remains that windows still dominates the OS market when it comes to companies and households, and as a result you have to deal with it

That being said, I agree one needs certifications/credentials when there's an actual need for certifications, as in "you don't touch that panel unless some of your peers said that guy can be trusted with that panel"
Critical stuffs, directly related to public safety, with risks of death etc.
