Best anti virus for a older friend who has no tech skills

just want a decent price av for him that isn't costly but decent, and easy enough i do not have to go install it for him

he has avast but they went up on price on him and asked me to look around saw bit defender seemed price decent and popular. thanks ahead for advise (if wrong sub please move for me) and thanks

Stay away from MalwareBytes. I used it for a while but it disables Windows Defender without even explaining it which eventually caused virus infection.
