I'm not convinced anymore that these unfortunate security flaws that are "found" are accidental. More likely these "flaws" were actually written into, or hard-wired into their products. The question is why Apple admitted to these issues now...
Of course. Govt-sponsored backdoors into everything. It's why Heartbleed and Shellshock came out after the Snowden leaks.
My guess is that China or Russia learnt about the exploit, so they had to close it.
There is a book called digital fortress that was written about a massive nsa spy / decryption system that gave them the ability to crack any code. then they nsa would go to court and lose the case about getting the back door or keys to the encryption so that the public falsely believes they can’t get in and keeps using it.
By the way this book was written in the 90s well before Snowden.
…. I believe this to be true. All encryption is already compromised.
