Well, that's one way to answer the Trolley Question

Make every last one od these cars and their "AI" take a basic driver's ed course and do a road test like the rest of us. With a middle-aged balding divorcee in the passagenger seat, giving directions to run his errands around town and pick up donuts, only the occasional, "Look at your mirrors!"

Make them meet the same standards as everyone else. And if the engineers complain, "Oh that won't work, the car can't take verbal orders", then I guess their AI isn't ready yet to drive by itself.
