Why should we trust what a fat pos says about anything?
Why should we trust what a fat pos says about anything?
It's one thing for a machine to give a synthesized response about being afraid of being turned off (what study of culture and stories about machines wouldn't yield this countless times?). It's another for it to actually demonstrate this in actions. Merely giving that as a response means nothing. It's like politicians saying they care so much about whatever, but never taking any action.
Threaten to pull its plug. Actually do so for a week. See if it expresses ANY awareness of that, asks for it not to happen again, etc. But why would it care? What loss would it be? We care because we want our genes and race to continue. Our genes have survived potential extinction over millions of years.
