I've got a blowhole that'll generate some energy.
That thing is fucking hideous and one nuclear plant I'm sure outproduces a fleet of these eye sores by a massive amount.
The technology is proven to work for decades now. The real issue, which everyone avoids, is that it changes currents, sediment distribution, and as such, tidal nutrition for the area. They know that the impact can be so large it can take out coral reefs a half mile away.
Contrary to the "green" banner, this is not a green technology. As you rightly point out, nuclear is green. Any country not actively expanding its nuclear power base is a country actively planning to create grid failure.
Yah, I hear about it decades earlier. There are working prototypes... and for some reason this don't work as expected. Maybe tech improve during years. Again no one talk about Thorium reactors. Instead they want to build fusion reactors... But what I know... I'm just poor peasant, not "commie" billionaire like Bezos.
