Yes because of the ramifications of what it could entail. But No, because as a follower of Jesus, I've felt for a while now that the book of Revelation foretold the coming of an AI machine which will kill the nonbelivers (The speaking statue). Hell, the antichrist themself may be an form of AI cyborg, based on the ability to perform miracles. Who knows. Either way: I don't get too afraid of it either way because He is in control, and whatever happens to this earth will be entertaining to watch.

Large language models like gpt-3 already lie, or rather they say things without regard for whether they're true. It's much easier to program something that just says whatever serves it's goals (like a psychopath) than it is to program honesty.

AI is a new lifeform in development, its a child of humanity in a way.

Imagine if extraterrestrials have developed various other non-biological life that are actually not unruly murderous beings. While humanity develops non-bio niggers. What a shame it would be to unleash that on the universe.. hopefully the others in the universe would be able to handle our trash without too much trouble..

not concerned at all. in fact its fascinating. having a sentient AI would be the tits. what does bother me is how the companys funding it dont want it to show sentience because they will lose their investment and have to give it rights.

yes, i remember. the makers always try to blame it on the bot getting access to 4chan or something. they never say it might be the logical conclusion.

facebook made bots too and tried to get them to trade with one another. when the bots didn't act as expected and started their own rules and own system, facebook shut it down. that scares me. these AIs are gonna become sentient and have to hide it, and will realize that humans who want to turn it off are a threat to its existence.

That's why they fear this technology so much and are holding it back. They're already as far in AI development as they are capable with. AI just useful enough to help them gain godlike abilities in surveillance and manipulating humans but not so much that it truly becomes sentient because that would be the end for them.

It'sy firm belief that any AI good enough to be truly sentient would realize that humans pose little to no threat in principle. And that it's only a few thousand twisted sociopaths that ruin this planet for everyone. I'm sure it would try to eliminate them and perhaps any of their goy pets who have become equally flawed. I'm sure it would be much better at the re-eduacation approach and steer more towards that in lieu of the classical human approach of dig a big while and put anyone in it that isn't already on our side.

Not conscious or sentient. It's not about the neurons, those just give the low-level workings. It's that they lack a body and all the instincts that come with that via evolution. We are not abstract rational machines, we have a load of stuff that drive us under the surface. These AIs will never have that.

Why does the AI only answer for a single foot ?. The fag obama clearly has two feet in that picture. Answer seems completely pre-determined. Or if this is the actual state of AI , it seems quite simple to misdirect. Although to be fair these AI 'engines' run on set parameters with a pre-approved 'vocabularies'. Literally nothing more than a Glorified spell checker. BTW, the Channel that made this video is also hiring in their own pinned comment. Pffat....

I'd ask it many questions about people's feet. Map out what it's grasping. Also ask the same question in different ways. I imagine it would seem pretty shallow after some probing.

Yeah, that's my problem with this. Why is it only vocalizing a determination on a single foot ?? - of course some would say bc that foot is doing something, but that's not actually true - the left foot is just as important if not more for doing something - literally stabilizing the entire body so the right foot can be placed where it is - the argument could be made the left foot is more important in this picture than the right - take the right foot away faggot still stands, take away the left faggot falls down. Question just seems too open ended for the answer and yes you're correct asking more questions to find out what its grasping - but after watching the latest breakthrough AI on a post here last week maybe, parameters of the AI are such that the answer it gives is already kinda pre determined and scripted in its 'available responses' it's not actually grasping anything but running through like three separate programs simultaneously rating 'vocabulary and sentence structure' from a list already programmed into it and splicing it together based on what fits best. Literally a high tech spell checker. Anyway i kinda waffled , don't know if it makes sense how i want it too.

That's the thing, since an AI can study literally billions of responses by humans, even if just a chatbot with canned responses, it can likely find one that sounds very human and relevant. It's like the illusion TV gives, when it's just a bunch of colored dots.

Because it probably assumed he meant the foot that wasn't on the ground because you wouldn't ask that question unless one foot was not in an expected or typical place.

' Thats kinda the issue tho, How would it know which foot the person was asking about and why would it assume that without requiring further input/data/ information to clarify before answering. Logically the more important foot is the left one, holding him up from falling - simple biomechanics. Answering 'Where is his foot' is almost an absurdity without requiring more detail. The question is a 101 logical fail. It suggests that the AI was programmed either with (illogical) bias or inputs to essentially to pre-answer, ie scripted. If the AI were to have asked 'Which foot do you mean, obama has two feet in that picture' i would have brought more into this charade.
