The dish that is used to take the image is structurally held together by struts. If there are 6 struts the stars will look 6 sided.

I don't think you understand how optics work.
And how many struts are holding the image sensor in place at the focal point of the secondary mirror? Wanna guess? Three main struts on the primary mount to the secondary optics and three smaller struts from the secondary optics to the image sensor package. 3 + 3 = ???
