8 pieces to a standard windmill. 3 blades, 3 tower sections, a nacelle, and a hub. All of which are hauled separately by no less than 3 people, a trucker and a minimum of two escorts. Blades barely last 5-7 years before needing to be replaced. They cannot be recycled and often the local government has to deal with disposal. The majority of these parts are built outside of the USA and are shipped here to places like Pensacola, Houston, Galveston. Then shipped via rail to places like Santa Teresa, Garden City, and Little Rock. Now land has to be acquired and pad sites prepared. Payments go out to landowners regularly.

This is just scratching the surface. I was one member of a wind transport crew and I easily broke six figures moving blades two years ago. It's a scam.
