We don't use 220v power in the States making our kettles much slower. Faster and cheaper to use Natural gas.
Yeah, it takes a little over two minutes to boil one liter of water here with an electric kettle.

I can't speak for others, but I don't use electric kettles because there is too much plastic in them. When I boil water in an electric kettle I can taste the plastic. Yuck.
Stainless steel and glass solve the issue.
I dont drink tea and have a coffee maker.
I’m American and have an electric kettle that I use regularly
Saw that one yesterday after it popped up in my recommended. That guy has a lot of good info on his channel.
I'm a little surprised about the gas burner results, but that's not going to stop me from getting one. For cooking quality, there are just too many pros to outweigh the energy efficiency cons.
He also hasn't mentioned the cost when using gas and electric stove compared to the electric kettles.
Also a fat jew faggot.
But I’ll admit, good videos. Damn it.
I do, every morning with pour over coffee.
we mostly drink coffee
hot tea is for fags
I have an electric kettle from when I was growing up (50+ years old now, still use it in my camper) and a larger kettle on my kitchen counter. I've bought 2 units, covering about 30 years continuous use. It's something that's used at least twice a day, every day (tea morning and night ~ the smell of coffee makes me want to puke).
I use it to heat water for cooking too, soups, pasta, broths, whatever takes hot/boiling water is done in the kettle as it's plain and simple Faster. While the 220 kettles overseas are nice, 2 minutes isn't exactly a big deal in heating time. I'm usually doing Other things, and I do green tea in the morning so only need 160~170.
I'm not big on hot drinks, I prefer most of mine cold but I'll drink water at room temperature at times. So a kettle is wasted on me.
