Having a smart anything with a built in mic is something that I work to avoid. Where it's not possible, I put electrical tape over any lens and adjacent mics. With a voice being used instead of a PIN or password at at least one investment firm, hackers will be using collected voice recordings to synthesize another real persons speech in order to steal their funds. I'll keep my voice out of any tech firm hands, thank you.

We got a "smart" tv last year, first thing I did was crack it open and desolder the mic. If it were Up to me I would take it outback and shoot it in the face.
