Of the thousands of satellites floating around out there, they take issue with Starlink?
it is the bandwidth you can have and the fact that apparently the constellation is able to detect missile launch
If they actually deploy the planned number of starlink satellites, they'll outnumber all other satellites five to one.
Star link is the only one capable of providing real time high speed network connection anywhere on the globe. None of the others have the redundancy or coverage that starlink does. You can use them as gps and do all sorts of stuff with them. I think shooting them down though would be a colossal undertaking just because of the sheer number of them.
They're likely seeing the difficulty Rus is having jamming comms in the Ukr.
Sure, but you'd have to get a dish imported. That would be pretty tough to get if China bans it like it does most things. Yeah, shooting them down would be insane. Shooting them all down is hard and banning them is easy, this just feels like posturing more than an actual threat.
