I have a 2018 Lenovo ideapad. It was working fine up until a few weeks ago when I downloaded the FXSound EQ and Sound Enhancer. Ever since then my laptop has been acting fucked up. The OS is lagging - It takes 30-60sec to open a file, it's slow to connect to wifi (takes around 10mins) and now today it won't boot at all. I started it up and it was saying "Preparing Automatic Repair" - I looked up troubleshooting instructions online and followed them, but my laptop kept going in a loop - same thing kept happening 3 times. NOW my laptop screen is black and it's loud - like it's trying to repair something. It's been like this for over 30mins and I'm getting really pissed off. WTF do I do? Do I let it keep trying to boot or should I shut it off and restart it? I don't have a boot CD (or even a CD/DVD drive on the computer) and I'm out of options.

Edit: After over an hour it finally told me what's wrong, it's either missing

What kind of hard drive does it have?

You need to find an IT guy you trust and see if he's got a Win7 or Win10 (or Linux, doesn't matter) boot USB you can borrow. Linux will be better as you'll get better, this is my opinion, tools to get an idea of what is going on with less effort.

500gb hard drive. Intel core i5 I found the error code 0xc0000185

That error code generally indicates that some sort of config data has become corrupted or deleted, and is generally caused by hardware failure or new software.

First thing to do is try to uninstall the new software. Since you probably can't boot normally, try to boot into safe mode and uninstall it that way. If you can't do this, here's an article about the particular error:

The big thing to remember here is you're working with what's essentially a destroyed drive, so there's a chance it won't come back or you may damage other things. If you have the capability, make a dupe of the hard drive and work from it. If not, then YMMV and you run the risk of damaging things beyond repair.

Sounds like you need a Win10 USB to try a repair/reinstall with that.
