I find this type of algorithmic manipulation both fascinating and frightening.

Hoping Musk gets reports and presentations on how they manipulated things in the background. And Musk publishes it.

That should keep conservatives busy with discussion for quite some time.

Also, for all the talk about voting fraud, the biggest fraud is creating the left-wing echo-chambers. That verifiably has an influence on voter patterns. When you remove the guardrails for the progressive echo chambers, you won't see so much group think and folks will not lean as left (people are tribalistic and if they want to fit in).

There’s no clear alternative, but we have a few that could take off if a lot of people gave them a try. The first one that comes to mind is Mastodon.

Even Jack Dorsey says Twitter can never be what we need. We need a standard protocol like email, not a centralized service that can be controlled by any single entity.

Mastodon could fit that. It’s what you call “federated”, like email. You have independent servers that use the standard Mastodon protocol. It’s not super hard to setup your own server and once you do your server’s users can talk to users on any other server that hasn’t explicitly blocked yours.

Created an a count to add a follower to Elon. During account creation, they make you follow at least one account. Hundreds of accounts for the Deep State, WHO, CDC Obama, Biden, etc. Had to scroll a massive shot list to find Elon. No search available. I get the account created and some Elon tweets popup. Click on a tweet and it says to verify I am Human with a shadow puzzle. Answer 5 and then it goes to 15 puzzles. Answer 15 and it says an error has occurred. They may have blocked the account creation, but it is definitely unusable. Just a reminder that this shit site is cancer

I created an account so that i could watch the show. I followed some folks like Elon, Nick Searcy and a few others. I commented on a couple of their posts, very benign, and followed a couple more. Within hours my account was locked over security concerns, they wanted a cell number in order to activate it again. I dont own a cell, not that i would give them my number. Thing is there are many going through the same thing and they are giving their numbers so they arent locked out. Seems like someone is gathering this information..

Here's another reason they know it's rigged. Some of the firms on Twitter producing content play both sides. They get familiar with the analytics enough to be able to tell there are two different algorithms.
