Considering most things come with non-replaceable batteries these days, is this really even a concern? It's not rocket science putting batteries in something.

There's 2 things that non-removable/replaceable batteries ensure - 1, the device can always be on; 2, you are more likely to buy a new one when the battery fails (and it will fail).
