I'm looking to get a home NAS in replacement to an old prebuilt server. I want to be on all the time and quiet.

I'm looking at either getting a 4 bay synology or 4 bay Asustor locker.

I don't want to build my own right now. I want this to sit quietly in the living room not suck up a lot of power.

Im ok with my synology here at work.I use it for a backup copy job for redundancy. Stays on and hasnt failed, thats all i need.

The asustor is growing fast in yhe industry but synology software is great. Asustor has 2.5 gig ports too. I've used synologies for the last 8 years but not sure anymore.
