Does anyone have information on this scam?i have witnessed this many times in the past year. i'm not sure which update started this behavior.

i try to open a page and get this message.
i switch to blaze and it opens immediately.
i switch back to firefox and still get that message.
after a few minutes firefox will open the page.

it sure seems like they have a throttling algorithm in play for websites they don't like.

>I recommend Brave browser IMHO.

Likely to me it's your ISP and they're DNS provider doesn't hold that site's data in it's current holdings so it has to find and download that website before sending you there. With so many millions of sites out there now it's likely the storage the dns provider uses is at capacity and if the site isn't a top site for visitors as in 10k hits a day plus for the dns servers then they wait for a request for those sites before getting updated data. If enough people go to the site regularly then the dns providers system will add the site to the list when it's higher up in popularity like number 5000 on Alexa for popularity would make it more likely to be accessed immediately.

Another message that I've gotten lately is the danger no certificate for this website which is actually the site likely being to broke to pay for certification from CA or where ever they get it. I always just bypass the stupid stop the browser does since it's just not registered and not some danger just haven't paid the tech lords dues this period so it's good with me.

If it were the ISP and DNS then it wouldn't matter which browser you are using, all would be slow.

Unless Firefox uses another DNS server which, if i remember correctly, they do by default

This is true. That is why in firefox preferences I shut off all suggestions and Query OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates is kept unchecked. Also I uncheck Block dangerous and deceptive content and then Mozilla is not holding my hand and approving my choices and https is on at all times.

Firefox bypasses your system's DNS settings by default. You have to turn it off.

Firefox has been getting extremely shitty. On Firefox Android it makes some of my tabs disappear, sometimes they break and they just won't load any content until I close the tab and open a new one.

I was using the Decentraleyes extension and got that message, disabled it and things are okay again.

Firefox uses an encrypted DNS channel. Go to Settings > Network Settings at the bottom of that dialog you will see "Enable DNS over HTTPS" and under that the DNS provider it will use, which is Cloudflare by default.

For testing purposes: A. Try changing the provider to someone else that you know will work. You can use the "Custom" option to set it to whatever DNS you like. B. Uncheck the "Enable DNS over HTTPS" which will make the browser work like any other and use your network's default DNS.

See if one of those two things fixes your problem.

Thanks, I just checked and "Enable DNS over HTTPS" is unchecked.

I know it will start one day, the Left owns Firefox.

But I never saw that.

Firefox has its own internal DNS cache. Maybe they're blocking certain sites? You can turn it off.

network.dnsCacheEntries = 0 network.dnsCacheExpiration = 0

in about:config

I'd say it's your DNS in general, but it works on another browser... So try the above.

Thanks, they were both set to zero. I run my own DNS service which is rock solid.

So... It appears the Firefox code itself is blocking certain web pages? I have Firefox installed, what's one of the websites?

Firefox bypasses the system DNS servers by default. Some speculate this was a move to take over control of DNS so they could not only block sites they disapprove of, but allow children to bypass any DNS-based filtering their parents may be using that was preventing them from accessing LGBT propaganda. The only way to block this is at the router level by blocking known DOH servers in the firewall.

What the fuck is wrong with them
