Same way we abandoned horse power.

Not really. That simply made us more efficient. This changes everything from currency to labor markets in profound ways.

How many jobs depend on fossil fuel production? How much of your income pays for energy? Our entire economic system depends on the petrodollar. All digital currencies do too. It is profoundly bigger than transition to fossil fuels.

Our entire economy was supported by horse from plowing to basic transportation on land until the steam engine. Even wars ran on horse power unless it was by sea. Those whose livelihood is disrupted always resist change.

It doesn't sound like you've thought about the implications. They are huge. The historical perspective doesn't apply because there is no historical relevance.

For example, a country's GDP is inversely proportional to the cost of energy. What happens to economies when all economies have low cost energy? Suddenly energy is no longer a barrier for entry. Which in turn ripples everywhere.

That's nothing like a saddle maker moving to make car seats.
