Already they are forcing people to give their cell phone numbers and tie their cell phones to services and those without a cell phone are excluded.
Twitter does that if you accidentally log in using an IP from another country, which will happen all the time if you use a VPN.
They claim it's for "security" but we all know it's about harvesting your personal information. If they really cared about security, they would just implement a 2FA, not demand your phone number. I mean, if it was a hacker, they could enter their own phone number and take over your account. Fuck Twitter.
