Lots of bad information there. He doesn't understand the difference between process size, highly complex cpu/gpus, and various other high quantity, low size, cheap ICs. Much of the later is actually made in older fabs, with technology decades old.
He also completely ignores the primary problem is the use of just in time supply chains. Which Tesla's doesn't use.

The real reason they overcame the chip shortage is: They needed chips.
Maybe the video should have a title relevant to the content. Something like: "The Method Tesla Used to Overcome The Chip Shortage Crisis.
