I keep waiting for Linuxfags to make a better OS than Microshit. Imagine my disappointment. Gentoo was the peak and it still wasn't that good, just good enough at the time. Great documentation thankfully but no one should need to consult manuals for a fucking OS. I hate to say it, but the Applefags are onto something with their "It just works" philosophy.
Damn, is this a shitpost? This is like early 2000s internet debates. Nothing that you have said is applicable in the modern era. Apple has gone down hill hard. Their products no longer "just work" and there are plenty of Linux distros that are easy, clean and work out of the box. I just installed PopOS for gaming and no issues with it at all. That distro even revived an old MacBook pro that couldn't run windows 7 or osx.
How old is the MacBook? I can't believe it won't run Win7 unless it running a PowerPC chip.
To be fair I have not had to fuck with any variety of Linux in the past five years. Imagine waiting twenty years for a fully functional OS. In my eyes, Linux is only a worthy competitor because the alternatives have been in decline for some time now. We can thank ARM for Linux finally becoming viable at long last.
