I was willing to have a look at the harmonyOS, basically a linux port with the usual quirks

Looking if it is possible to get out of Google monopoly

First, the developer platform is ONLY for windows or Apple.... are we stupid ? the two most "telemetry tracking" platforms, no, no Linux available.

Second, you "get in touch with Huawey" you have to register.... ok, fair enough, BUT if you are from Europe, you HAVE to provide your cellphone number

The idiotic reason is: "for your safety", clearly

No, Huawey, screw you, I will go somewhere else and really SCREW you, you are STUPID

I have a pinephone, I am a bit annoyed about the SW support

Ubuntu.... it has the systemd spyware, just ask yourself why suddenly ALL major distro agreed to replace a simple and tested init system with loads of crapware that has binary logs and lots of binary objects instead of cleartext shell instructions....
